Ms. Medina Roshan

Inspired by girls in her homeland of Afghanistan who continue to fight for access to education, Medina Roshan has dedicated her career to helping children learn and thrive. She is especially committed to early childhood, a foundational period for intellectual, social, and emotional development.

Drawing on her experience as a public school teacher, along with her studies in language and literacy at Harvard University and journalism at Columbia University, Medina helped develop Storybook Cottage’s inquiry-based curriculum. This approach encourages children to follow their interests, ask meaningful questions, and use their natural curiosity to explore the world around them.

As founder and director of Storybook Cottage, Medina is committed to creating a joyful, nurturing learning community where every child feels supported and inspired.
